These pieces are inspired by the natural beauty that we often overlook~ from the way the sunlight shines through the leaves, ripples that waves leave in the sand, shadows that hit the pavement as you pass by... captured in art form
Meet Ty— Artist & Founder
Honolulu based Artist, Experimenter, Tinkerer
He started making art as a teenager. Having always felt compelled to create things, and to do so at the best of his abilities, when it came time to decide what kind of education he wanted to pursue, fine art was the obvious choice.
His approach to his education was to gather as much knowledge, and as many techniques as seemed relevant to his interests. He found that even seemingly unrelated practices could inform and enrich one another, and so he let his ravenous appetite for knowledge drive him wherever it may.
Following his graduation from his master's program, he moved to Seattle, and began working with a group of artists making large scale, public art, installation sculptures, typically of wood, but often integrating a variety of materials including: cast metals, cast resin, and ceramic.
After working with that team for almost ten years, he decided it was time to pursue his work individually. He had lots of ideas he wanted to explore, and found he never had quite enough time to satisfy that creative urge. That was about one year ago, now he’s fully based in the beautiful island of Oahu— discovering that establishing a studio and developing a practice has been one of the most rewarding endeavors of his life.
“The intricate details and delicate patterns the artist achieved through 3D ceramic printing are simply mesmerizing. The geometric shapes and contours create a visual masterpiece that enhances any room's aesthetic. It serves as not just a source of light but also as a conversation starter and a focal point of interior decor.”
